NATURE
The morning started according to the season. With calm weather and a light wind. After the beautiful weather in the morning, the sun made its appearance slowly, warming the air and returning to a very familiar scenario during the 6 days of the project. In the evening, when the sun went down, but crispy wind wanted to show its presence and brought a little more coolness, but despite all this, the weather did not stop us from enjoying a beautiful evening with all the participants.
It was another really nice autumn day.
PEOPLE
Today was the Cyprus culture night, and we had the chance to meet this country better. Cyprus is a small island in the Mediterranean Sea. We learnt some details about this island through a video and through a Kahoot game where the winner was Romania. We learnt that most of Cypriots are speaking Greek and that the tourism at summers is so huge because of the wonderful seas that the island has. We enjoyed their traditional food, dances and games. We had the most fun playing “Mandili”, which is a cypriot traditional game. Halloumi, the cypriot cheese, was delicious. The best part was the Sousta dance, where participants for every country join the circle.
ACTIVITY
As always, we started the day with energizers. We played a game where we were divided into rabbits and hunters. We had to catch each other. During the first workshop we were divided into 6 groups. Each of them was given a different first aid story and then presented it to everyone. The rest of the group had to guess the presented situations. Everyone had a lot of fun with it. After the coffee break, we met in the main room and tried to choose the most necessary items for survival in the forest. It wasn’t that easy because everything had to fit into a small box the size of two smartphones. The next workshops started with another round of Moon Game. The next tasks turned out to be related to the name of this game. We were to rank 15 items from most useful to least useful that are needed to survive on the moon. After finishing, we checked the answers against those provided by NASA. Then we started team work earlier than usual so that the Cyprus team had time to prepare the National evening. It was great. They prepared very well. Everyone had a good time. Right after dancing and having fun together, we made a big fireplace. It was amazing and everyone was taking photos.
